Overview of the Diamond Life Series

The Diamond Life Series (also known as Forbes Family Series--the PG rated version) spans six books and follows the plight of four main characters, Drug King Pin Michael Jacen Forbes the Third, his best friend Rich Williams, Michael's wife, Lacey and Nikita, Lacey's best friend. Initially, the Diamond Life series might appear to be just another sensational read about rich and powerful criminals and their outrageously sensational antics. But actually, the series covers a time frame of sixty years and closely explores the plight of women in physically and emotionally abusive marriages.

In this series, domestic violence and the devastating affect that it has on families is thoroughly examined. The series also explores issues around crime, race, class, child abuse, family dysfunction, friendship, loyalty, betrayal, life, love and spirituality.
